Throne Room Worship

Most worship services in the Western Church are dominated by themes of entertainment and self-promotion. Many worship services are also closed off to the move of the Spirit, deeming the move "Strange" and "un-biblical". Going back as far as we can in the Bible we see many examples of worship. After the Hebrew people crossed the Red Sea they broke out into spontaneous worship and praised God for delivering them. In Psalms we see David at his greatest moments, writing songs of passion and excitement to God, and then we see him writing songs of lamenting and sorrow in the dark places of his life. Worship in the bible is about adoration, and with that adoration, His presence comes. Worship is not about how well you can play a song list or how much the audience likes what you are doing. The number one priority should be exalting God through your words and song. The presence of God will only be invoked when you lessen yourself; less of me, more of him. When the spirit moves, it can be strange. In Acts 2 the people were thought to be drunkards, but they were filled with the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit of God touches us, we cannot help but be moved by the spirit. Many people deem that as strange, but the greatest example of worship in the Bible shows us that what we experience when the spirit moves, is not that strange. Revelations 4 paints us a picture of the most high worship, and it is a crazy looking place. It is the throne room of heaven around Him is 4 creatures that looks like different animals, with six wings, and eyes all over them, and there are also 24 elders around the throne. That is a crazy looking place! The glory of God invokes the creatures to continually sing Holy! Holy! Holy! Throne worship is when we rise above our standard 4 chord songs that we practice to perfection. Throne room worship is when we are lost in adoration for our God! When there is nothing left to say but, "God you are Holy!" He is forever set apart. Along with throne room worship, is the Glory of God, and an unusual level of His spirit in a place. Throne room worship should be associated with a move of God, revival, and is probably the highest form of worship.

Many times throughout the Bible we see people breakout into song, rejoicing for what the Lord has done. This is something that I believe the Church has lost, its Sound. The sound of the Church should be sung through praise, rejoicing in His goodness, worship, and prophetic. The journey I am beginning through this Blog is to analyze the Sound that the church is making, and to educate you, the reader, on the many different ways the Bible talks about Worship. Answering many basic questions, such as, "What is Worship", "How do we enter into different levels of Worship?", and "What is the difference between Prophetic Worship and Spontaneous Worship?". This is a topic I'm very passionate about, and am very excited to spread the knowledge I have obtained. This Blog will also go a little bit into the logistics of how to run a worship program in a church, how to flow in worship, and how to create the sound that you, as a worshiper, are looking for.
